755 nm Alexandrite
The Alexandrite wavelength offers high melanin absorption, making it the preferred choice for hair reduction on Fitzpatrick skin types I–IV, superficial pigmented lesions and fine or light-coloured hair that responds poorly to longer wavelengths. Spot sizes range from 1.5 mm to 18 mm, with pulse durations from 0.25 to 300 ms.
1064 nm Nd:YAG
The Nd:YAG wavelength penetrates deeper with lower melanin absorption. It is used for darker skin types (Fitzpatrick IV–VI), deep vascular lesions, nail fungus and coarse hair on all skin tones. Spot sizes range from 1.5 mm up to 26 mm for faster coverage of large areas.
