  1. Component Malfunctions
  2. Cooling System Issues
  3. Power Supply Problems
  4. Cryogen-Related Faults
  5. Software Glitches

There are typically two types of errors in the GentleMax Pro: fault messages and warning signs.

Fault Messages

A fault message typically occurs due to a system malfunction. Sometimes clearing the fault and retrying the previous operation can be successfully accomplished without further faults occurring. If a fault message persists, call the laser engineers at Merge LLC and report the fault number.

Fault processing automatically places the system into the Standby state. The following conditions occur outside of normal system operation. When the system enters a fault condition, it beeps and displays a fault message. There are 26 types of fault messages, and in most cases, a laser engineer is needed to diagnose and fix the issue.

Examples of fault message candela troubleshooting errors include:

  • Fault 1.1- Handpiece bubble Circuit – The Handpiece circuit test didn’t detect a change in the signal (Read More)
  • Fault 2.2 – Canister Bubble Circuit – The canister bubble circuit test failed to detect a change in signal
  • Fault 3.3 – Shutter Fault – The shutter is not in the correct position upon check and does not respond to actuation

Warning Signs

Warning signs are notifications or alerts within the Candela software that signal a potential issue. They prompt the user to take action based on the displayed warning to prevent further problems. The device stops working when warning signs appear. Contact the laser engineers at Merge LLC for maintenance and repairs.

The examples of warning signs include:

  • Warning 10.2 – The delivery system is disconnected while in the Ready state.
  • Warning 10.3 – The slider attachment is removed while in the Ready state.
  • Warning 10.4 – Fiber is not detected while in the Ready state.
